For over fifty years, I have cared for babies and walked alongside their families through some of life's most important moments. I have seen the beauty and awe of new parenthood, and I have seen the exhaustion and overwhelm that can come with it.
Today, the conversation around parenting is filled with noise. On one side, you are told it should be effortless joy. On the other, you encounter the reality that it is demanding, overwhelming, and often isolating. I see many parents quietly wondering if they are doing something wrong.
What I tell parents is that there is nothing wrong with them. They are not failing. They are navigating a profound transition in a world that offers endless information but very little reassurance.
